Collection of Poems
As AI takes over the world, I thought it would be wise to get a head start on learning a more human art. I have written a short collection of poems to see if it is enjoyable. I have yet to come to a conclusion on whether I enjoyed it or not, but the poems are, in my non-humble opinion, wonderful, and thus I shall present them to you, my lovely fans.
I
"fake it till you make it" or just a chronic prevarication?
lie long enough, and life becomes a farce.
larp to linkedin.
limerence to love.
lies to a legacy.
and only when one looks back can one think:
"did the lies become my LIfE?"
II
Multiple moras
Five seven then five again
They call it haiku
III
a nocturnal bird, not quite an owl
working through the night without a scowl
a productive flight, without much plight
until morning comes and it gets bright
IV
Impecunious scum, fictitiously comporting themselves
as upper-class beaux of some imagined pedigree,
celivagous toward the puny and plebeian,
with the sillage of those blighted regions of the East.
Threadbare aristocrats in counterfeit refinement,
parading borrowed airs with impecunious aplomb,
their every gesture redolent of social aspiration,
yet irredeemably reminiscent of the hoi polloi.
V
The Towers of Hanoi,
a beautiful children's game.
The youth become nescient.
A toy for the young to experiment with.
Until the towers toy with you.
How fast can you make the solver run?
VI
The world's prettiest fey enters your mind more and more
Her beauty captivating your soul
A bad influence you have known for years
Only now have the siren-like qualities consumed you
Before she was just another elf
Now, you are paralyzed and unable to act upon your own limerence
But maybe, just maybe, you have found true love
VII
In a magical realm of intelligence
Minds beyond your comprehension
You can predict perfectly what the mind will do
Yet you have no idea what their next move is
Minds captivating you as you walk with them
Conversations about things you can't process alone
But to each of the minds so beyond you
You are but one of the minds they can't comprehend
